Microsoft has scored a victory against Google. The two had been vying to become the default Internet search provider for Verizon's mobile phones. Verizon announced Wednesday that Microsoft is the winner. Microsoft also announced it reached a similar search engine agreement with Dell Inc. Both deals boost Microsoft's position in the competitive world of search engines and advertising.
